To log your blood pressure values, follow these steps:

1. On the account homepage, under the overview section, select 🩸Blood Pressure in the form.
2. Enter the systolic pressure value.
3. Enter the diastolic pressure value.
4. Adjust the date of the entry (if necessary).

Each time you log your blood pressure, the overview with the graph will update.

Normal Blood Pressure Values for Children and Adults

Below are the values in the order of systolic/diastolic:

• Infant: 80–85/45–50 mm Hg
• Older Child: 110–120/70–80 mm Hg
• Adult Male: 100–140/60–90 mm Hg
• Adult Female: 100–140/70–90 mm Hg

Tips for Measuring Blood Pressure

To measure blood pressure correctly, follow these guidelines:

• Calm Environment: The measurement should be taken in a quiet place, on an empty stomach (or at least with a sufficient time gap since your last meal or drink, 1-2 hours), and with adequate time since physical activity (at least 1 hour).
• Stable Position: Measure while lying down or sitting. The lying position ensures more accurate results as the heart and the measuring limb are at the same height.
• Timing: Measure your blood pressure several times a day. Blood pressure values can vary throughout the day. For example, in the morning, the body is at rest and not influenced by daily stress factors.

  • Around noon before meals and with enough time since any physical activity
  • Before bedtime
  • If you are trying to determine which food significantly raises your blood pressure (e.g., caffeine), measure your blood pressure about 45 minutes to 1 hour after eating.

Other Important Factors for Accurate Measurement:

• Quiet Environment: Choose a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
• Relaxed Arm: The arm on which you are measuring should be supported and relaxed.
• Correct Cuff Size: The blood pressure cuff must fit your arm circumference.
• Regularity: Measure at least 2 times in a row with a gap of at least 3-5 minutes to obtain the most accurate values.

When to Avoid Measuring:

• Immediately After Physical Activity: Blood pressure may be elevated or much lover after exercise or other physical activities.
• After Eating or Smoking: Food and smoking can affect blood pressure values.
• After a Stressful Situation: Stress can lead to an increase in blood pressure.
